Ernest Hanson is a Ghanaian born real estate developer with over 10 years work experience in investment banking and real estate development. Ernest is the founder of Beaufort Properties and Lifestyle Properties in Ghana. He is a former Star 100 member who left London to return to Ghana in 2008.
He previously worked at Lehman Brothers as an equity analyst covering European media. In 2008 he joined one of his former clients (Modern Time Group/Viasat Broadcasting) and was appointed as Business Development Manager Africa to direct Viasat's expansion in Sub-Saharan African. He successfully helped launch Free TV channels in Ghana and Tanzania. In 2010, Ernest left Viasat to focus full time on real estate development and has sold over 200 apartments since.
Ernest has recently expanded his portfolio through Lifestyle Properties and Indigo Homes to diversify into the middle and lower income segments respectively. His latest development is @Riviera Residence in East Legon, an 82 unit waterfront development.
Ernest is also an investor and non-executive director for Nurevas International. Nurevas Ghana is a manufacturer and marketer of quality processed foods (primarily sauces, spreads and condiments) for the African food retail and catering market. Nurevas has recently signed a Toll Production agreement with Heinz for Africa and exports the majority of its products to neighbouring West African countries.
Outside of work, Ernest is the vice president of the Ghana Rugby Union and is helping to develop the sport in Ghana.
