Give Back
The Give Back pillar was one of the original pillars of the group and reminds members that they are in a relatively privileged position and need to 'give back' to Ghana and Ghanaians.
In 2005, the beneficiaries were the Ghana Health Service and the National Partnership for the Children's Trust. In 2006, we donated flow meters and glucometers to the Baby Unit at Korle Bu Hospital and ran a health fair at Pokuase Village. In 2007, money was raised for the flood victims of Northern Ghana and the Light Outreach project which helps clothe, house and educate children living on the streets of Accra and Tema. Autism Awareness, Care & Training was 2008's beneficiary.
In 2009 and 2010, Star 100 UK raised over £3500 for AfriKids. The money went towards the construction of a new ward at the AfriKids Medical Centre in Bolgatanga.
